About Water Gard, Inc.
The Overflow Condensation Control System

Arnie French and Phil Miller are co-inventors of the Water Gard Condensation Control System. Having over 60 years experience between them in the HVAC/R field, they recognized the need for a dependable air conditioner condensation control system that detects condensation from WITHIN the primary drain pan. They had seen the extreme cases of flooding and had nothing dependable to offer to their customers. In August 1994, Arnie received an emergency call to a building he maintained. The computer room had flooded and thousands of dollars in equipment had been destroyed. The problem was condensation overflow not draining properly due to stopped up drains. The building owner was insistent that Arnie "find something dependable that will keep this from happening again." Having a very small space in which to install such a device, Arnie set out to find an answer to his customer's request.
His search ended 6 months and 5 states later with no results. No such product could be found. Arnie met with Phil and discussed his dilemma, and together they invented Water Gard®. Field-testing began in early 1995.
The Corporation was established in September 1998 and the patent was granted in August 1999. Realizing that the residential community had the same need, marketing to residential and commercial suppliers began in January 2000.
